Mr William Thien   Image

William is a human resource management trainer and consultant with Effective Outsource Networks, a human resource consulting and training facility providing a wide range of human resource management and development support services to companies in Singapore. He is a certified Practicing Management Consultant (PMC), and a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (Singapore), a full member of the International Council Management Consulting Institutes. 
 
William has worked in the shipbuilding, engineering and construction as well as the hotel industries. During this period of work, he carried a wide variety of portfolios, including recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee industrial relations and training & development. He was the Personnel Manager of Mandarin Hotel, a five-star service establishment with over 1200 employees when he joined Effective Outsource Networks (EON). William is the key contributor for 'The Hands On Guide - Human Resource Manager, Singapore', 'HR Letters, Forms and Policies, Singapore’ and co-author of the Singapore chapter of ‘Employment Law Asia’ published by CCH Asia Pte Ltd. He has also been an editorial advisor of the publication People Strategies.

Mr David Shanmugam

David holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London and Master of Business Administration degree from Victoria University. He has many years of experience in the private sector and he is presently working as an in house Legal Counsel for a local company. Over the years, he has conducted legal training for the corporate sector on the various practical legal issues facing the corporate field and has lectured for many training institutions, on Business and Company Law. His forte is in the field of corporate and commercial drafting of contracts, including company matters.

Mr Gerard Chan

Gerard has more than a decade of experience in human resource development, consultancy, career counseling and areas of human resource management. His corporate exposure in both human resource management and development includes the Asia Pacific region and Australia. Gerard graduated from the Luton University of UK with a Masters of Science (MSc) in Human Resource Management and further enhanced his knowledge with a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) awarded by the Master Trainer Institute of New York. American Management Association (AMA) has also conferred onto him a Train the Trainer certificate.

Ms Jolynn Chow

Jolynn has designed and delivered interpersonal skills, business and technical communications, as well as customer service skills programmes for organisations like Canon Marketing, Isetan Singapore, Johnson Controls, Pfizer Asia Pacific, SAP Asia, Visa International, and Wyeth Nutritionals. She has over twenty five years of operational experience in the fields of banking and finance, publication and distribution, import and marketing of paper products, as well as training & consultancy. She has an in-depth understanding of the skills and communications needs of these and other industries. Jolynn has an in-depth understanding of the communication and language problems faced by bilingual English users in Singapore and the region.
 
Jolynn holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development (MAHRD) with the George Washington University, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBBA) majoring in Marketing awarded by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics awarded by the RELC. She also holds a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) awarded by Cambridge University. CELTA was developed to provide expert instructional methodology and language analysis, and offer training in a communicative teaching approach based on the best of current classroom techniques.

Mr Koh Thong Joo

Thong Joo has more than 16 years of industry experience working in MNCs, statutory boards, SMEs and public listed companies. He has spearheaded various portfolios including sales & marketing, business development, strategic planning and management consultancy.He is a certified Human Behaviour Analyst (DISC Profiling) under the Management Centre of Asia & The Leadership Insitute of America. He has also obtained the Advanced certificate in Training and Assessment under STADA/SIM.

Thong Joo is currently a professional trainer specialising in strategic business planning, sales management, customer service, effective communication and creative problem solving. He has also conducted numerous training in Singapore, Malaysia and China.

Mr Lim Kaim Soon

Kaim Soon graduated from the National University of Singapore with a bachelor degree (honours) in Business Administration, majoring in finance and investment. His working experience covers financial control and general management in the banking, insurance, retail and manufacturing industries. Kaim Soon has held management positions as a Financial Controller and a Director for manufacturing companies. He was also in-charge of the group and subsidaries' accounting, finance, and investing projects and management, including reporting to the board and statutory bodies in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Kaim Soon is currently a corporate trainer specialising in accounting and financial management. He conducts regular workshops, seminars and in-house trainings to management and staff of statutory boards and business corporations including Hitachi Cable, Housing and Development Board (HDB), Ministry of Community Development Youth & Sports (MCYS), Murata Electronics, YCH International Ltd, Times Publishing Ltd and VOLVO Asia Pacific.

Ms Grace Lee

Grace is a dynamic and enthusiastic trainer who has been in the training and development field for more than 22 years. She has a passion for the training and development of people and is a firm believer in life-long learning. She graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with the Bachelor of Education and Training (HRD). She holds a Diploma in Training and Development Management, Singapore Institute of Management.

Ms Katherine Chua

Katherine received her tertiary education in Education and Training with the University of Melbourne, and is also a certified Trainer for DISC, Personality Profiling System. She is a member of American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), University Women's Association of Singapore (UWAS) and Human Resource Interest Group (HURIG - SIM). An advocate for adult learning, she approaches training with active participants’ interaction and involvement which makes learning FUN!

Mr Jimmy Toh

Jimmy has over 20 years of working experience in the civil service and varied industries such as tourism, airfreight, manufacture and sales of machinery, hotel, healthcare and customer relationship management. His forte is in start-up operations and human resource management covering payroll, administration, recruitment, personnel administration, industrial relations, training and development, security, and general operations. In the area of training, he has conducted many workshops and seminars on human resource related subjects. As for the EASP workshop, he has already conducted more than 60 times.
Jimmy holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, Graduate Diploma in Training & Development and Diploma in Personnel Management. A certified Senior Human Resource Practitioner, he is also a Professional Member of the Singapore Human Resource Institute, a certified People Developer Standards Consultant and United States Certified Trainer for the Napoleon Hill Program.

Ms Chua Bee Choo

Bee Choo has more than 20 years of working experience in both the private and public sectors. One of her expertise is in Customer Service where her previous work experience gave her practical experiences in dealing with customers at the counters, call centers, developing and implementing customer service policies and initiatives; such as setting service standards, service audits, evaluating performance and implementing the integrated rewards system for the organisations.

Bee Choo holds a Master of Education in Training and Development with the University of Sheffield, Bachelor of Arts (Upp Hons), Diploma in HRD, Diploma in Customer Service (USA) and the Associate Diploma in Public Speaking (LCM). She is also a Certified Trainer for Disc Profiling System, and Certified Six Seconds Level 1 Associate EQ Trainer. She has also attained ACTA certification awarded by WDA.

 Ms Audrey Lai

Audrey has several years of working experience in the public and private sectors: corporate training, education, accounting, project management and banking. She brings with her a wealth of experience working with diverse groups of people, and in different environments and work cultures. For the past 12 years, she has been a corporate trainer, specialising in business communication and English language training. She has designed and delivered business communication courses to corporate executives from different levels. These courses range from business correspondences (emails, letters and minutes), grammar for business English, proofreading and editing to dictionary skills for speaking and writing. As a believer of life-long learning, she has in-depth understanding of adult learning issues and is always ready to encourage participants to adopt an open and a learning attitude. She enjoys working with participants from diverse professions and facilitating group participation to enhance their business English skills. She brings learning to life, and many have benefited from her subject knowledge, interactive approaches, hands-on tasks and practical examples in the programmes she conducts.

She holds a Master of Education (English Language) from the Nanyang Technological University, a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Management Studies. She also has a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).

 Ms Florence Au

Florence has been training adult learners in business communication for about 23 years. Her initial training stint in the private sector saw her teaching secretaries and administrative staff in the writing of letters, memos, reports, press releases and minutes of meetings for examination courses. With this experience and that accumulated from her job as an administrator and later a training manager, she went on to train public officers.She has since been training at the Civil Service College (CSC) for more than 9 years. At CSC, Florence conducts public-run written communication courses in the Write programme, which includes grammar, emails, letters, reports and minutes of meetings. Besides these, she also develops and trains customised programmes for the Singapore Police Force, Ministry of Education, Health Promotion Board, Singapore Land Authority, Building Construction Authority and People’s Association. In addition, she has re-written three courses for IPAM – Writing Reports and Proposals, Writing Minutes of Meetings and Writing Effectively- The Quality Service Approach.  

Florence holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature, a Diploma in Translation and Interpretation and professional qualifications from the UK in writing minutes of meetings and shorthand.  

Mr Jayan Warrier
 
Jayan was previously working with Hewlett Packard, a Fortune 500 company as an internal performance consultant, in Learning and Development organization  with responsibility of supporting the employees in Asia Pacific and Japan. He was responsible for sales skills, soft skills and leadership training to support the business strategies of the organization. in his 20 years of industry experience he has worked in different roles including pre-sales, consulting and training. He is an experienced WIAL certified Action Learning coach. Jayan has conducted Action Learning programs in various organizations in both public and private sector in Singapore. He has led project teams in solving complex business challenges in HP as part of their talent development strategy. He has also worked with University of SIM in helping students solve problems and develop leadership abilities through Action Learning.
 
Jayan holds a Master of Human Resource Development and Education from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Tech. in Computer Science fromt he University of Kerala, India. He is a certified Action Learning Coach- World Institute for Action Learning, also a MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator). Jayan has been accredited the Accredited Facilitator for the Power of Questions Workshop by Dialogo. He has obtained an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).
